Why a party?
To celebrate Orono’s 60 years of academic excellence while raising money for all Orono schools to continue this amazing trajectory in the future. The Orono Alliance for Education, a nonprofit dedicated to raising money for the benefit of K-12 Orono students’ education, is hosting the gala.
What do I wear?
Cocktail attire or 1950's sock hop attire is perfect.
If you’re ready to flash back to the past, make your own poodle skirt, Brylcreem that hair back, or dig out an old letter jacket – whatever you’d take your best gal, fella, or pal to the 1950’s sock hop in is right on.
If you’d like to purchase some new threads, here are some possible options:
Via’s Vintage (2408 Hennepin Avenue)
Tatter’s Alternative Clothing
