OUR ROOTS:
The Orono Alliance began in 2000 as a collaboration between Orono parents, the Orono community, the school board, and the school’s administration in an effort to ensure the value of an Orono education in an environment of decreased state funding.
For over a decade, the Orono Alliance for Education Foundation has been harnessing the community’s time, talent, and financial resources to enhance our Orono schools to empower all students to achieve their highest potential and ensure a tradition of educational excellence.
The Alliance is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization comprised of parents and community members who are passionate about the quality of education in Orono. The Alliance represents all of us who understand that the best gift we can give our children and our community is the gift of education.
